BishopSound Shipping Policy
Last Updated: 25 July 2026
Thank you for choosing BishopSound.
We aim to dispatch every order promptly and ensure your products arrive safely and efficiently. The information below explains how our delivery service operates for customers within the United Kingdom and internationally.
1. Dispatch Location & Estimated Delivery Times
All products are dispatched from BishopSound Manufacturing & Design Ltd's warehouse in the United Kingdom.
Orders are normally processed during standard business hours, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).
We aim to dispatch in-stock items as quickly as possible, normally within 1–2 working days of receiving cleared payment.
Where products are made to order, temporarily out of stock or require additional preparation, we will advise you of the estimated dispatch date as soon as possible.
2. Mainland UK Delivery
We offer:
-
FREE Mainland UK delivery on qualifying orders of £50.00 or more (including VAT).
-
Delivery charges for orders under £50.00 are calculated automatically at checkout based on the total weight, dimensions (where applicable) and the prevailing DHL shipping rates.
The qualifying order value is calculated after any promotional discounts have been applied.
3. Oversized & Pallet Deliveries
Certain products, including larger speaker cabinets, subwoofers, pallet shipments and oversized items, are excluded from our standard free delivery offer.
Delivery charges for these products are calculated separately and will either:
-
be displayed during checkout; or
-
be confirmed with you before your order is dispatched.
4. Scottish Highlands, Islands & Remote UK Locations
Some UK postcodes incur significantly higher courier charges.
This includes (but is not limited to):
-
Scottish Highlands
-
Scottish Islands
-
Isle of Man
-
Isle of Wight
-
Isles of Scilly
-
Other remote UK locations
Where an additional delivery charge applies, this will either be displayed during checkout or confirmed with you before your order is dispatched.
Our aim is always to provide the most cost-effective delivery solution available.
5. International Deliveries
We are pleased to ship BishopSound products worldwide.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the products ordered comply with any import restrictions or certification requirements in their destination country.
All international orders are dispatched from our warehouse in the United Kingdom.
Customers outside the UK may be required to pay:
-
Import Duty
-
Customs Charges
-
Local VAT or Sales Taxes
-
Brokerage Fees
-
Customs Clearance Charges
These charges are determined by the destination country and remain entirely the responsibility of the customer.
BishopSound has no control over these charges and recommends contacting your local customs authority before placing an order.
6. Customs Delays
International deliveries may occasionally be delayed whilst goods are processed through customs.
Such delays are outside BishopSound's control and do not constitute grounds for compensation or cancellation.
7. Delivery Times
Estimated delivery times are provided for guidance only.
Although we always endeavour to dispatch and deliver orders promptly, delivery dates cannot be guaranteed.
Delays caused by:
-
Couriers
-
Customs authorities
-
Severe weather
-
Industrial action
-
Public holidays
-
Circumstances beyond our reasonable control
shall not make BishopSound liable for compensation.
8. Split Shipments
Where practical, BishopSound will dispatch complete orders.
However, where this helps reduce delays, we reserve the right to dispatch products separately.
You will not be charged additional delivery costs for split shipments initiated by BishopSound.
9. Delivery Address
Customers are responsible for ensuring the delivery address provided is complete and accurate.
Where additional costs are incurred because an incorrect address has been supplied, BishopSound reserves the right to recover these costs from the customer.
Delivery Acceptance & Safe Receipt
To help ensure your order arrives safely, our delivery partners are not authorised to leave parcels or consignments unattended at your property, including on doorsteps, in front gardens, driveways or other unsecured locations, unless alternative delivery instructions have been provided directly to the courier by the customer. Any such instructions are given at the customer's own risk.
Please ensure that someone is available at the delivery address to accept and sign for the delivery where required.
If no one is available to receive the delivery, the courier may leave a calling card, rearrange delivery or return the goods to their local depot. Any additional delivery, storage or return charges resulting from a failed delivery attempt may be charged to the customer.
Heavy & Palletised Deliveries
Many BishopSound products are large, heavy or supplied on pallets.
Unless otherwise stated, pallet deliveries are made to the kerbside only and are subject to safe vehicle access.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that:
-
Someone is available to receive the delivery.
-
Suitable arrangements have been made to safely move the goods from the point of delivery.
-
Adequate assistance and appropriate lifting equipment are available where required.
For health and safety reasons, we recommend that larger loudspeaker cabinets, subwoofers and other heavy items are moved by at least two people using appropriate lifting techniques or suitable handling equipment.
If there are any access restrictions at the delivery address (for example, narrow roads, restricted access, rural locations, apartment buildings or timed delivery restrictions), please let us know before your order is dispatched so we can work with our delivery partners to make suitable arrangements.
10. Failed Deliveries
If delivery cannot be completed because:
-
nobody is available to receive the goods;
-
delivery instructions cannot be followed;
-
the customer refuses delivery (other than because the goods are visibly damaged); or
-
the goods are returned to BishopSound due to an incorrect address or failed delivery attempts,
BishopSound reserves the right to recover any additional courier, storage or redelivery charges incurred.
11. Delivery Inspection
Customers should inspect deliveries as soon as reasonably practical after receipt.
Any visible damage should, where practical, be noted with the delivery driver and reported to BishopSound as soon as possible.
If damage is discovered after delivery, please notify us promptly and provide photographs of both the product and the packaging to assist with our investigation.
For information about returning damaged, faulty or unwanted goods, please refer to the BishopSound Returns & Refund Policy.
12. Risk
Risk in the goods passes to the customer once the goods have been delivered to the delivery address provided with the order. Ownership of the goods remains with BishopSound until full payment has been received.
13. Returns & Refunds
