Warranty Promise

BishopSound Warranty Promise

Effective Date: 25 July 2026

At BishopSound Manufacturing & Design Ltd, we are proud of the products we design, manufacture and supply. We believe professional audio equipment should deliver outstanding performance, be built to last and, wherever practical, be repaired rather than replaced.

If one of our products develops a manufacturing defect during the applicable warranty period, we will work with you to provide a fair, practical and efficient solution.

Our commitment is simple:

British Engineered Sound

Repair. Restore. Reuse.

  1. Our Warranty

Unless otherwise stated in writing, all new BishopSound products are supplied with a one (1) year warranty from the date of delivery to the original purchaser.

This Warranty Promise applies to products purchased directly from BishopSound Manufacturing & Design Ltd or through an authorised BishopSound reseller.

This Warranty Promise is provided in addition to, and does not affect, any statutory rights available to Consumers under applicable law.

  1. What Our Warranty Covers

Our warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that occur during normal intended use of the product within the warranty period.

If a manufacturing fault is confirmed, BishopSound will, at its discretion:

  • Repair the product.
  • Replace the product with the same or an equivalent model.
  • Refund the purchase price where repair or replacement is not reasonably possible.

Our preferred approach is always to repair products wherever practical, supporting our commitment to sustainability and our philosophy:

Repair. Restore. Reuse.

  1. What Our Warranty Does Not Cover

This Warranty Promise does not cover faults or damage arising from:

  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect product performance.
  • Accidental damage.
  • Misuse or abuse.
  • Incorrect installation.
  • Incorrect wiring.
  • Incorrect amplifier matching.
  • Operation outside the published product specifications.
  • Excessive power, amplifier clipping or distortion.
  • Water ingress, fire, flood or other environmental damage.
  • Improper transportation after delivery.
  • Unauthorised modifications or repairs.
  • Removal or alteration of serial numbers where fitted.
  • Failure to follow any instructions or guidance supplied with the product.

Consumable items and components subject to normal wear are excluded unless a manufacturing defect is present.

  1. Before Making a Warranty Claim

If you experience a problem with one of our products, please contact BishopSound before returning any goods.

Many technical issues can be resolved quickly through advice on installation, amplifier configuration, DSP settings, wiring or general product setup, saving both time and unnecessary shipping costs.

Where a return is required, we will explain the appropriate procedure and provide return instructions where applicable.

  1. How to Make a Warranty Claim

To help us assess your claim as quickly as possible, please provide:

  • Your name and contact details.
  • Proof of purchase.
  • The product model.
  • A description of the fault.
  • Photographs or videos where appropriate.

Additional information may be requested to help diagnose the issue before a return is authorised.

Products should not be returned without prior authorisation from BishopSound, as we may be able to resolve the issue without the need for a return or arrange the most appropriate method of collection.

  1. Repair or Replacement

Where a valid warranty claim is accepted, BishopSound will determine the most appropriate remedy.

Where practical, we will repair the product in preference to replacement.

If repair is not commercially or technically viable, we may replace the product with the same model or an equivalent product of equal or greater specification.

Where neither repair nor replacement is reasonably possible, an appropriate refund may be offered.

  1. Repair. Restore. Reuse.

At BishopSound, we believe professional audio equipment should not be discarded unnecessarily.

Wherever practical, we support the repair and restoration of our products through the availability of spare parts, technical advice and authorised repair partners.

This approach helps extend product life, reduce unnecessary waste and supports our commitment to sustainable manufacturing.

  1. Professional & Commercial Use

BishopSound products are designed for professional applications.

Use within commercial environments, live events, touring, hire companies, places of worship, educational establishments and entertainment venues does not invalidate this Warranty Promise, provided the products have been installed, operated and maintained correctly.

  1. Limitation of Warranty

This Warranty Promise applies only to the repair, replacement or refund of defective BishopSound products.

It does not cover:

  • Loss of earnings.
  • Loss of profits.
  • Loss of business.
  • Loss of events or performances.
  • Hire costs for replacement equipment.
  • Consequential or indirect losses arising from product failure.

Nothing within this Warranty Promise limits or excludes any liability which cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.
